Privacy policy

Effective July 2026

This policy is short because there is almost nothing to disclose. QuietBill is built so that we cannot see your data, not merely so that we promise not to look.

What happens to what you type

Everything you enter — your details, client details, line items, logo — is processed entirely in your browser and stored only on your device, using your browser's local storage. It is never transmitted to QuietBill or anyone else. There is no QuietBill database, and no account to create. Clearing your browser's site data permanently erases everything QuietBill saved on that device.

What our infrastructure sees

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and defend against abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. QuietBill runs no analytics scripts, sets no cookies, and embeds no trackers, ad pixels, or fingerprinting of any kind.

If you buy Pro

Purchases are processed by Gumroad, the merchant of record. Gumroad handles your payment details, receipt, and any refunds under Gumroad's privacy policy — QuietBill never receives your payment information. When you activate Pro, your license key (and only the key) is checked against Gumroad's license service, at activation and then roughly weekly. The key is stored in your browser's local storage; no invoice data accompanies these checks.

Data requests

Because QuietBill holds no user data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete — your device is the only copy. For purchase data, contact Gumroad through your receipt.

Changes

If QuietBill's architecture ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the changes will be described here with a new effective date.
